Weatherproof Canvas Material & Structure
The RoofBunk Adventurer has our high quality 320gsm poly-cotton blend ripstop canvas material on its body and 600D Oxford polyester on the rainfly, making it completely weatherproof.
It can handle winds of up to 40mph (Gale Force 8) when opened, has waterproof silicone tape on the seams to stop leaks, and the material has a waterproof rating of 3000mm on the body and 5000mm on the rainfly. This makes it 3-5 times as waterproof as a regular ground tent and able to handle even the worst rain storms with no problem!
The combination of our thick canvas material and the structure of our roof tent makes it quieter and warmer in cold and stormy conditions and the material has been treated with agents to make it UV and mould resistant, so it should be protected from being faded by the sun.
We've also made sure the material used on our tent is breathable to prevent condensation and dampness as much as possible and because the material is both dark and thick, it should stay dark for you in the morning, so you won't be woken up by the sun!
Strong & Slim Shell For Cargo
The shell is made of our high quality aluminium material, making it very strong and robust, so you can use the included roof bars to bring bikes, kayaks, surfboards, SUPs and pretty much anything else you can think of on your adventures! (The weight limit on the bars/roof when the RoofBunk is open is 50kg and the limit when it's closed is 80kg).
Its shell is also flat, so you can easily add flexible or rigid solar panels to it, or you can install these to the roof bars that come with it to fulfil your off grid needs if you'd prefer this.
On top of this, the RoofBunk roof tent has 3 x t-slot accessory rails that run along the sides of the shell and an interior t-slot accessory rail too, so you can get creative when deciding which gear to add to your setup!
It will keep you warm at night due to the shell leaking less heat than canvas material alternatives, the thin layer of insulation on the roof should help keep it quieter in the rain, and the slim aerodynamic design of the shell (21cm/8 inches) means there’s both less noise while driving and you'll save money on fuel!
Opens & Closes In Seconds
Our roof top tent is able to be set up and packed away in a matter of seconds with its stainless steel gas strut system. You can also keep all your bedding inside when it's down too- perfect if you're on the move frequently when travelling!
The set up process in short involves opening the closing latches, pushing the roof tent up to allow the gas struts open it, putting the rainfly canopy poles up and then setting the ladder up. Fits Most Vehicles
You should be able to fit a RoofBunk Adventurer clamshell roof tent on most vehicle's roofs, as long as you're able to keep the roof bars between 70cm and 150cm apart, as this will sufficiently spread the load weight evenly.
Make sure to get roof bars that are rated to hold at least 80kg of weight and are ideally through bars in design too, as these will always be long enough for the fitting brackets to go on them, but flush roof bars that have at least 60cm of unobstructed length for the brackets to fit will be fine!
You'll also need to check your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity is over 80kg, which can be found in your vehicle’s user manual or after searching for the information online.
If you want to keep your ladder inside the RoofBunk roof top tent too, then you'll need these weight limits to be 87kg though.

Extra Large & Strong Design
The RoofBunk Adventurer has an extra large and tall roof tent design, allowing space for taller people to sit up when needed and have a more comfortable sleep.
It's slightly narrower than a king size bed at 145cm (4ft 9), it's about 6ft 11 inches long (210cm) and has a high enough ceiling for the tallest people you know to sit up in at 145cm high at its highest point (4ft 9).
The roof tent can hold up to 300kg (47 stone) of weight inside it, so it's also very well built.
All this allows you to sleep 2 adults and a small child.

Added Design Features
Every door and window on the RoofBunk Adventurer has zippable mosquito nets on them to keep any bugs out, while still ensuring good airflow.
You can get in either side of the roof tent or from the back, as we’ve put doors and ladder brackets on each of these locations, so you can decide which will suit your setup best!
The roof tent also has a black elastic string that goes over it, which helps pull the tent material in, so you should have less to tuck in when closing it.
We've put a ventilation window above the back door, so you can open this up without having to worry about the rain to promote airflow and prevent condensation as much as possible!
You get 2 x strip lights on the roof with 3 different brightness levels that plug into any standard USB port on a power bank to help you see when you get into bed.
Plus, we’ve extended the rainfly to keep you dry and prevent water from getting in on all 3 doors unlike other clamshell designs. This comes in especially handy if you choose to crack open the doors for extra airflow on particularly humid nights!
Included Accessories
Your RoofBunk Adventurer comes with a high quality aluminium telescopic ladder that can extend up to 230cm (7ft 7 inches) and a comfortable 8cm (3.5 inch) thick memory foam mattress. The mattress can be removed for easy washing or you can put your own custom sized mattress in it instead for even more comfort if you wish!
You also get everything you’ll need to install it, the RoofBunk Adventurer roof bars, a free anti-condensation mat, lots of extra storage pockets for phones ect, 2 boot bags, a tablet viewing pouch, a cargo storage net on the roof, 2 x USB strip lights and 4 door porch poles are included too!
Warranty
With your RoofBunk, you'll get a 2 year warranty with it free of charge!
