We’ve tested the best camping apps on the market and have managed to filter them down to these top few. There are others out there that would still be handy for you to use on any of your adventures, but we’ve decided that these are the 9 best camping apps we could find. These aren't ranked from best to worst or anything- we thought we'd let you guys be the judges of that!

- This site is mobile optimised so you can use it on the computer at home or on your mobile phone on the hop, therefore nothing to download.
- With two levels of subscription – members can access loads of road trip routes around the UK for free, with lots of experience and activities ideas included.
- The full membership provides 25+ road trips with heaps of destination guides, route maps, plus maps for overnight stays and ‘Uncover More’ maps to get the most from your trip.
- The overnight stay maps have a huge choice of places to stay along each route trip, mapped out so save hours of searching. Great variety of places to stay including campsites, and overnight stops such as pub stops, aires and spots, as well as some ‘almost’ wild spots that you can stay on private land with permission.
- The site doesn’t dictate to you at all, but presents you with all the options for you to cherry pick your favourite and it can be really helpful to find a Plan B when things change.
- The ‘Uncover More’ maps are provided by route and pinpoint magical places like hidden gems and scenic viewpoints so you can stop on route for a cuppa. There’s also wild swim spots and even on screen locations pinpointed too.
- So many things are included, you’ll be able to cherry pick the best options and still not have time to do all of it!

- Allows you to filter down which campsites are shown on the map based on features such as it being free, allowing dogs, having toilet facilities, having shower facilities, having electricity and much more.
- Add your favourite campsites to a “Favourites” list, so you can come back to those spots that catch your eye with ease.
- Plan out a trip by marking your route with which campsites you’d like to stop off at and mark/share your progress as you go with friends.
- It also works offline, so if you find yourself in the wilderness it shouldn’t be a problem!
- It’s available in various other countries such as Australia, USA, Canada and New Zealand.

- Currently has 37,000 places to stay throughout Europe including overnight parking spots, wild camping spots and campsites.

- Allows you to filter down which campsites are shown on the map based on features such as it allowing dogs, having toilet facilities, having shower facilities, having electricity and much more.

- When you find it, add your name to the logbook and share the good news online.
